CartCraft earns referral commissions. Some links to the store builders we review are affiliate links: follow one, sign up for a paid plan, and the platform pays us a commission at no change to your price. Those links are marked sponsored in the page code, as they should be.

How the /go/ links work

Every outbound referral on this site points to an internal address of the form /go/shopify or /go/wix, which then forwards you to the platform. This keeps our pages free of tracking parameters, makes sponsored links auditable at a glance, and lets us update a partner link in one place. What we never do is dress an affiliate link up as a plain citation.

What we are paid, and why it does not matter

Payouts differ wildly by platform. Some programs pay a flat one-time bounty in the low hundreds of dollars, others pay a multiple of the referred customer's first month, up to four figures for enterprise referrals — and if commissions ordered our rankings, you would be able to tell, because the best-paying program in our table does not belong to the builder we rank first. The ledger is ordered by the math: fees, rates, and what a store actually pays per sale. A builder moves up by charging less or delivering more, never by paying us more — and builders with whom we have no affiliate relationship at all are audited on identical terms.

CartCraft is independent. We are not owned by, endorsed by, or affiliated with any platform we review, and all product names and trademarks belong to their owners. Affiliate programs are arm's-length arrangements that pay for referrals — they buy no edits, no previews, and no seat at the ranking table.
